Worth It

I have been in the field of massage for a few years now and love it. I have to say that my education at OSTM was phenomenal. It is kept me engaged and gave me the knowledge I needed to be an amazing LMT. The instructors were phenomenal! I still use the what I learned in school from the sciences and it really shows my clients that I know what I am doing when I can tell them the muscles that are bothering them or can talk to them about a certain condition that they have. Overall, I would highly recommend the school for anyone who wants to be an LMT. It is a challenging program but I left feeling very confident in my abilities and knew I would pass the boards.

Dishonest

I graduated from this school recently, and I can't imagine how anyone can give it good reviews. I think they have to be fake, because every student who attended there was miserable. Even though I have graduated and started my career, I still can't help feeling bitter that at such an important time in my life I was lied to - consistently - by administration on every matter you can think of. We all were. Policies change daily. And the conditions we filthy and I can guarantee there are numerous codes violations. However it did seem appealing when I went for the initial tour. Beware. Ask around first.

Funny how the only good reviews are from the same day. Pretty much sounds like a brochure. OSTM has the highest pass rate? Are those stats from 1998 when there was like 3 students and employees had to track down the owner at strip clubs to get their paychecks? Or from the first class that technically shouldn't be LMT's because OSTM lied about them getting their 1000 hours of training (they didn't). Besides Finger Lakes school there aren't any other massage schools in the area (Other than OSTM Rochester). If I owned the only school in the area my school would also have the highest pass rate. I also bet I can write a great review on the Chinese restaurant by my house that has terrible food, sanitation, and service and make you want to eat there.

Great School!

I agree with the "Wonderful Experience" review. OSTM was a great school! I received a quality eduacation that prepared me to work as a Massage Therapist and pass my NYS Boards. When I sat for my board exam I sat next to many people from other schools who were taking the test for the 3rd or 4th time! OSTM has the highest pass rate. If you choose this school it will change your life for the better and will prepare you well for this profession. I highly recommend going!

I attended this school and loved my time there! The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond for the students. They knew everyone's name as soon as we started and I was always greeted when I came in. The teachers are knowledgeable and experienced. They worked with the students to find what study habits and learning styles work for each student, and modify their lectures to fit their class. They are so helpful and always willing to meet with you on breaks or after class. The whole experience changed my life for the better and I wish to thank each and every member of OSTM for being a part of that!
