Great French Food and service in a relaxed atmosphere

Having tried their outstanding French crepes for breakfast my Wife and myself brought our Son
to the Oceanview for a complete soup to nuts French dinner. We also brought 2 bottles of wine.
I had the Duck l'Orange, my Wife had the Cod Fish in a light French cream sauce and my Son had
the pork Osso bucco.

Some items were great but some quite average. Best dish was the duck outstanding seasoning producing a wonderful complex flavor. The pork osso bucco could have been more tender. Salad was a weak spot. The greens were interesting but not very crisp or cool.

Thurs thru Sun nights they go French Bistro. We had the BEST duck l'orange we'd had in over 20 years, nicely done with sauteed veggies and potatoes and Mahi Mahi with veggies and rice. Both were excellent. The ambiance is more cafeteria than bistro but worth going for sure just for the duck!
