Help us make it rightAt America's first organized golf club, the game is still played using original hickory-shafted clubs, gutta percha balls and the grounds are maintained by sheep.
Wow, what an experience, played last week on the oldest course in the USA. Four hickory shafted clubs and a gutta percha ball. Shot 41 with a par of 37 with the same ball. If you get to the Greenbrier you have to try this, very histortic.
We could see a bit of the course.... buckets of sand for making "tees," and my husband was happy to see it. I hope somebody will buy it and keep it going. Maybe Jim Justice???
You cannot be a real golfer until you played this historic course.
Play Oakhurst Links, the first golf club in America, established 1884. All equipment is included on this 9 hole course which features sand tees, hickory clubs, guttie balls, and sheep on the course.
