At the first glance, the place looks OK and clean. But when you look closer, many things are dirty, worn thin and outdated. This place could definitely use a renovation. Booking a last minute trip to Hayward on an August weekend, my expectations were low to begin with. This hotel was still a shock. Dark, dingy with a noisy window air conditioner set into the outside wall - this place has seen much better days. Probably hasn't been updated since the 70's. Northern Pine Inn is a great choice for a stay in Hayward. Guests can take a dip in the indoor pool, and freebies like self parking and wired Internet are added perks.
