Small, lovely library on the main street in town. The have an annex behind the main library house/building where I believe they hold special performances throughout the year. The children's room was off to the left in its own area - bonus: there is a bathroom right there so you don't have to walk far if you are browsing books...

Compact but Packs a Wallop

Library is small, but compact. Selections are for a wide variety of tastes. Parking good as there is a larger space on the road behind. Staff very helpful and pleasant.

I am in this library at least once a week. The staff is friendly and helpful. The library is beautiful and spacious. They have so many special events going on. Just a gem. . . my favorite part of home.

The library was founded in 1867 with a total of 326 books as the Millerton Reading Association. The library now houses approximately 27,000 items. The library also offers free programs for adults and children that include story hours, concerts, book groups, workshops, and art exhibits. Computers are available for public use as well as free WiFi.
