This store is one of a kind. Nowhere have I ever seen a charity store like this with such great merchandise and such great service (they deliver furniture cheap).
I wasn't big on antique stores until I discovered Nook N' Crannie - but this store gained my appreciation because it has such unique things. I love the crystal glasses and old stereos I've seen. I highly recommend coming here for furniture, decor, vintage clothes and jewelry. Great place for gifts too.
Do not let the 1-star negative reviews prevent you from checking out this store for yourself. Visit, look at the amazing selection, and make up your own mind.
I found sturdy, high-quality furniture here at very low prices. Not all to my taste, but I could live with most of it. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I will be furnishing my new place with their merchandise... Just wish I had a larger place so I could buy more pieces.
Please, check out this store, and take what others say with a grain of salt. I don't know of anyone who expects a charity thrift-store to reupholster...
Be careful with this shop. On Friday 11/12/10 I purchased a bed from Elias and Bob and I was told there were side rails with the bed. Unfortunately, they explained the rails were at another site and they would make arrangements to have the rails brought over and they would deliver the bed that evening or possibly Saturday 11/13/10. I informed them I would be out of town on Saturday and if they could not deliver the bed Friday, day of purchase I would be fine with a delivery the following Saturday 11/19/10
11/12/10 No delivery. No call.
11/19/10 call the store at around 2pm and David...
09/02: Went to Nook and Crannie and bought an antique chair and asked if they could recover the seat as well as add some cushion. I was told I would have to buy cloth; 4x4 and the job would take 2 days. I noticed a gap in the wood on the chair back and asked if anything could be done about it. I was told that they could do something along the lines of pushing the wood together and they’d also shine it up and it would look great by the time they were done. I paid for the chair plus an additional $75 to have the chair recovered and left.
09/04: I went to the fabric store and all the cloth...
