We stopped in at Captain Newick's for lunch last week. We had amazingly fresh seafood. We ordered a "Value Plate" ( shrimp, calamari, clam strips and haddock nuggets). I lived in Dover many, many years ago and when I found myself passing by here on business I just had to get a bunch of lobster treats to take back to my hotel room. The picture above does not do it justice. The one in Dover is more rustic and older. We stopped for lunch after some appointments in Dover. Even though the sun was bright and clouds were scarce, it was chilly with light to moderate wind. Perfect day for some of their Clam Chowder in a Breadbowl.

W went on a Sunday around 1230. No wait, lunch menu was priced right! Fish and chips was a very large portion for $10.99. Fish was battered lightly, fries were just right. Good coleslaw and tarter sauce.
