With a rich history dating back to 1774, Newark Academy is a dynamic school distinguished by a forward-looking educational program. Enrollment: 565 students from 81 communities in grades 6-12. There are 399 students in the upper school and 166 students in middle school. Students of color comprise 25 percent of the student population and three percent of the total population are international students from Brazil, Bulgaria, China, Germany, India, Israel, Russia, South America and the United Kingdom. Faculty: The faculty has an average of 22 years teaching experience and 85 percent of the 92 teachers and administrators have advanced degrees; eight have earned doctorate degrees.
