We were travelling to St. Louis and diecided to stop for lunch in the college town for Illinois
State University. Our family of four wanted to eat at a local restaurant rather than a chain. We stopped at this family owned diner.

Get away from uptown Normal, visit this locale on the edge of campus. Nice atmosphere (recreated 50s but not too cheesy), great grilled burgers (fries are acceptable), good price and selection. Easy parking (you can do your laundry while eating if you want) and fast service. Avoid the chains, and eat a memorable burger.

Worst nachos ever. How do you mess up nachos, you ask? Start with semi-stale, super greasy chips. I couldn't eat mine. But the ice cream I ordered to make up for not eating the nachos...was stale.
