What the community has to say about Nandina

Information about this business (3)

Excite your taste buds at Sunrise Asian Cuisine in Dallas, where we implement fresh, healthy and delicious elements into all of our fresh Asian meals.

Nandina specializes in Asian Tapas and Sushi but also has a broad menu of Thai dishes and Japanese creations. They offer take out, late night dining (staying open until 3am) as well as delivery within a 5mile radius.

Nandina combines the hot trends for sushi and tapas dishes. Some dishes are ideal for sharing but some you should be selfish and keep for yourself. Shared dishes should be Shrimp Dumplings and the miso-marinated Kobe Beef. Things to be selfish about are the Sashimi and Rice Salad with its smoked salon, avocado and sweet, sticky rice dressed with sesame-chili vinaigrette. The wine list has a...

At the end of a dumpy side street sits Nandina, a lovely Asian restaurant that seems to have splashed down from a swankier part of town. Set in a strikingly remodeled old home, complete with glass-walled waterfall and streaming brook on… Read More

Review: Nandina

It’s hard to walk into this Lower Greenville space without getting a little misty-eyed about the late Liberty Noodles. It was the kind of place we were proud of, where we brought out-of-towners as if to say, “See? Dallas is cool.” But Jeffrey Yarbrough and Annie Wong can take comfort in knowing that Nandina is keeping the tradition of well-prepared Asian specialties alive, thanks to chef Seiji...

The crab ragoons and green tea were amazing! However, the Pad Thai was very bad. Three bites and thrown away bad.

All I can say is EXCELLENT!! Ordered the chicken lo mein and sweet/sour chicken. Was the best. Since I moved to dallas it's been hard to find a really good Chinese/Asian restaurant. Garland is too far to go to bring back cold food. So YAY for Sunrise. Ordering again right now, just wish you had fried shrimp on the menu.

This Thai and Japanese-inspired restaurant turns out delightful small plates of sumptuous specialties, such as sea bass with ginger tamari glaze or lamb chops. Thai specialties are outstanding: chicken Penang tingles the tongue when sweet pineapple collides with fiery hot curry.
