I am very surprised by the negative reviews I have been reading. I have been eating out at Musashi in Northridge and Porter Ranch for years with friends, family and coworkers. Always great food! So we were very excited when they built a new restaurant in Simi Valley where we live. WE have been many times since they opened for both lunch and dinner. This time our group of 11 (including 2 toddlers) were celebrating a birthday.In addition we we wanted separate checks and had coupons!!! We can be a challenging group for any establishment. However, from the moment we were greeted until we said goodbye at the door, we were treated with friendly and attentive service from all - from the host, to the waitresses and the chef at our teppan range. The food was delicious as always- I especially enjoy the orange roughy which not all teppan ranges serve. Our chef was entertaining as well as skilled. The kids loved the show ! ! ! The decor is both classy and inviting with a beautiful bar and outdoor sitting area. Take it from me as well as my finicky family - Go and see for yourself!

Don't waste your time or money

Mediocre food, inexperienced staff and poor value for money. There are plenty of far better sushi places in this vicinity.

There were also too many kids running around and making a noise, which spoiled the ambience.

We are sushi eaters. Used to be great and now downhill. Fish not fresh, small portions, bad service. We used to come here weekly. Never again ! Sad to post...

I will never go here againThere was a fly buzzing around the food on our table.I got so grossed out.I don't want to eat fly eggs. Go somewhere else

Filet and seafood always fresh and delicious. Servings have been getting smaller and prices keep going up. The Tappan chefs are good entertainment some better than others. Sushi is good...
