I had to meet folks for a pre business meeting late one afternoon at the University of Houston. The other folks, university employees, said they usually meet at Murphey's Deli because it is the only place to eat near the University main entrance.
After finding no place to park, I paid $5 to park in the public garage behind Murphey's....

Nice variety and great quality. If you are in the area you can not go wrong with this place for lunch.

Service great, food great, prices great. We were there after lunch and they were cleaning up from the lunch crowd but graciously stopped and made sure we had everything we needed. Very short staffed but incredibly gracious

Murphey's Deli has some of the best sandwiches in town. You should try them for lunch some time.
