My husband and I shared a tasting. The wine was ok...nothing stood out for either of us. Asked to try The Fizz but they were out. Nice atmosphere to sit and relax. We ordered their cheese plate...tasted old...we were starving and ate it anyway:)
You can lose yourself in this winery very quickly. My girlfriend at the time (now wife) and I were recommended this place by a bar tender at The Pub as a good spot to side and enjoy a bottle(s) of wine. Fun place with great wine! & they're open late, which is a bonus. I feel like I'm hanging out in someone's basement... in a good way, not a "I was kidnapped" kind of way.
Very cool, hip place – lots of interesting antiques incorporated in, including old file cabinets they store the wine glasses in, antique cash register, and a massive calculator that would definitely not fit in your purse. Wonderful wines. Tasting was $10 for 5 tastes. They are also one of the only tasting rooms to have cheese available (gotta love wine...

Municipal Winemakers is the brainchild of Dave Potter, a well-traveled winemaker who also produces wine for one of the area's largest commercial vineyards. Potter's efforts for Municipal are more intimate, producing 600 or so cases of wine a year, with the goal of making bottles that are both delicious and easily guzzled.
