I was referred to Dr. Mukai for a possible gum graft, which terrifies me. He was kind, patient, personable, and best of all wants to work with me in the hopes of never, ever having to have another gum graft. He's all about prevention and is very passionate about keeping my gums healthy. What I liked best about him: he introduced himself, told me what he'd like to do during my appt, invited questions, and said that we were in a 'partnership' - if I didn't like the reasoning behind his recommendations, I didn't have to go through with them.
