This place is in dire need of an updated review, so here goes...
Mud Lounge has upped its craft beer game exponentially in the last few years. They currently have 15-20+ taps at any given time, featuring tap takeovers on a regular basis. The selection is very nice with gems that are available on a regular basis.

I used to frequent Mud lounge with my friends and family, but over the last 2 years the quality of service has declined dramatically. I LOVE coffee, and this is an interesting coffee to drink late. I think they add extra caffeine or something, which is great while you are studying late.
The atmosphere is great. Some of the people in there were a bit rude, but there is youth for you. They think they are invincible and own everything.

We love coming and enjoying a martini or spiked coffee drink here. Good appetizers and just a relaxing atmosphere. Nice place to hang out in downtown Springfield.

You don't have to be a drinker to hang out here. You can have your espresso or coffee (the same great stuff they serve at the Mudhouse) and just chill on the couch or play a game of cards. Smoke-free inside (but there is a patio if you need to step out). If you would like a cocktail or a martini, they can certainly fix you up here.
