I'm a dedicated lap swimmer year-round. It's so nice to have an outdoor pool to take advantage of (nice weather or not, darn it) during summer months. The only disadvantage is that on hot days, it's INSANE - there are way too many people just ""bobbing"" in the lap swim lanes (annoying because I've paid $4 to WORK OUT in here, people!). Not to mention the swarms of children and their parents rushing the pool as soon as public or family swim starts and lines of kids gawking at you as you try to shower and change. Don't get me wrong, though, it's worth the frustration to swim outdoors on...

Atop Magnolia hill, Pop Mounger pool is a great place for family swims and children's fun and features heated (and chlorinated) salt water. ...

shadier location and easier access than Colman pool, plus has a kiddie pool for infant time. This pool's at the top of Magnolia, just North of the little 'downtown' area. Zip is 98199, not 98101. Sorry, will try to edit.

Mounger Pool is such a fun place to go swimming with the whole family. Their swimming pools are outdoors and they keep the pool water warm....
