Both the dark chocolate and stracciatella were enjoyable but I would agree with the reviewer who said it would be average in Italy (where I sampled gelato in each city I visited).
Staff were most pleasant as they provided samples facilitating the major flavor selection decision.
I most certainly would return whenever I might be in Hanover.

I've been a fan of Morano Gelato since discovering it in a Farmer's Market before the first Hanover NH shop opened. Today I visited Morano Gelato's new location in the Chestnut Hill Mall in Newton, MA just outside of Boston.

Seriously, this place has the East Coast's best gelato, and that is not hyperbole. Closed on Mondays, and whenever the gelato runs out (it's made fresh every day), save room for dessert after a dinner out or after the movie next door at the Nugget Theatre.
