Mooo.... Restaurant Review

The understated elegance of Mooo…. is evident the moment you step into the Beacon Hill steakhouse. A favorite among politicos, who populate the bustling after-work scene at the bar, this hotel restaurant situated in XV Beacon is modern and upscale. The focus is on Prime cuts of beef that have been dry-aged (a costly process that produces concentrated beef flavors). Consider the New York strip...

Inside the swanky XV Beacon hotel, lies Mooo, a luxurious, refined dining space in Scotch and cream tones that remains civilized despite the restaurant's somewhat goofy name. Chef David Hutton's menu strays toward steak-house fare (hence the title), with dishes driven by local ingredients. Look for a well-rounded list of raw-bar items, iceberg-lettuce salads, and the succulent (and very...

In Short
There's no mistaking the menu here--from the name to the décor, Mooo is all about the cow. Though potentially cringe-inducing reminders of one's food origins abound, the atmosphere, service, and presentation are… Read More

The "funky" name sets the tone at Jamie Mammano's "modern", "interesting" "steakhouse with some flair" in Beacon Hill's XV Hotel, where "buttery", "melt-in-your-mouth" cuts are dished up by a crew that "really knows" its stuff; "expensive" rates don't deter loyalists who "highly recommend" it for a "special night on the town."

Don't let the silly name fool you, this is a decidedly elegant steakhouse environment. If being located in the luxe XV Beacon Hotel isn't enough proof, the vaulted ceilings, stately columns, rich leathers and romantic interior should do the trick. Still not convinced? How about cuts of meat that break the point-of-no-return price level at upwards of $40? And since any steakhouse is only as good...

Extremely limited menu. Awful beer selection. Rude female bartender

Didn’t even need a knife to cut the steak! Hands down, best dining I have had since I went to Steve Wynn in LV for my engagement in 2007! Moooo rocks!!!!

*Nice atmosphere and decor *Prompt and friendly service *Well executed appetizers and salads (waygu dumpling, ribeye meatball, Ceasar and baby berg salad) *Perfectly aged, seasoned, and cooked steak (16 oz aged ribeye)
A couple of minor things that are worth mentioning, but would not preclude me from returning or recommending as a fantastic dining experience.
*don't arrive before 5:30 if you...

Loved the broiled east coast oysters! Hot and tasty and such a surprise. I would almost just eat those with no other entrees. So yummy!!
