I had an aunt that lived in Montreat in the 1980's, a grandmother who lived there from 2000-2010 and an aunt that currently resides there. I have spent lots of time visiting there over different spans of my life. One thing that specifically comes to mind is that it is never-changing. It is always clean & welcoming. The apartments themselves are small, but the mgmt keeps them modern and nice....
