Yesterday was the last day Monique's Chocolates was open. Owner Mark West is moving to Paris to open a shop there. Mark made the best hot chocolate, creamy and warm, pure and delicious. Nothing like what comes out of machines or powder packets anywhere else. We will miss him dearly!

Best place in town for artisan hot chocolate!! Possibly the only place in town. But still the best! And still hot chocolate worthy of five stars! It's super-rich, although customizable in terms of how cocoa-dense it is. I got the milk chocolate with caramel, which was absolutely fantastic.
The serving size is manageable, meaning it's a bit small to balance...

Fantastic selection of drinking chocolates, it rivals the best I've had in Europe. You can choose between various intensities of milk and dark, and they even have multiple types of non dairy milk like almond and hazelnut. I always go for the 75%!

Various milk chocolates .. Roasted Hazelnut Gianduja, Madagascar Dark, Ghana .. ohh .. all variety are of wonderful taste .. and different .. sipping delicious liquid chocolate is really facilitating one .. the service people .. containers all are good and of helping nature.
