Good for the style of pizza it is. I'm not a big fan of St Louis style cracker crust pizza, but if you are, Monical's will fit the bill. A nice very thin crispy crust, topped with a flavorful sauce. Toppings were generous toppings and the price was reasonable. Good salads and a varied menu if you're not a pizza lover. Overall a good place for this pizza style.
Grew up on Monical's Pizza in Tuscola, IL> Moved to Mattoon and eat there often. our son even worked there for 6 yrs. Can't compare to other pizzas because it's in it's own class!
Of course what to say about monocles pizza is such outstanding pizza with a thin crust and it's something unique that not a lot of people get to try. If you're busy Mattoon from another town and you don't have a Monicals you wont be disappointed if you try this one you love the pizza.
Salads are always crisp and cold wait staff sometimes forgets to come back around to check on table. Love their house dressing
