There are really two restaurants here. One hour quiet dining and one for mining camp style. quiet cozy booths or long tables, family style.

I eat here once every couple weeks. The restaurant inside is called the "Dutchman's Hideout". Theres no breakfast. Hours & days open change in the fall. Its off the beaten path, but a scenic area. The world famous Mining Camp Restaurant opened its doors to the public in 1961. The restaurant is located at the base of the beautiful Superstition Mountains in Apache Junction, Arizona. The restaurant's unique exterior is made up of roughly sawn ponderosa pine hauled from Payson, Arizona. Today, the restaurant still follows the theme of the early mining camp cook shanty.
