Three nights at the MAC

Well priced old downtown hotel. Athletic facilities a plus. Plumbing and HVAC very old. Did not sleep well because room was too warm and cooling did not work. Restaurant/bar was fine for my purposes but was not real fancy.

The worst part of the stay was that the shower was unusable- the water was literally burning hot and would not cool. The faucets, including that for the sink, was also burning hot and could only be touched with a towel. The hallways smelled of mold. We had a very pleasing stay at the Milwaukee Athletic Club. Friendliness and desire to please varied among staff. Wait staff in bar/rest were unfailingly pleasant. At times was not the case with person serving as maitre de. Food was very good also. Receptionist did his best to reconcile a question about my bill. I would definitely stay here again.
