Help us make it rightSince the town's inception, the Milton Cemetery has served the residents of Milton and their descendants. Dating back to 1672, it is easily one of the oldest sites in the town. The beautiful garden cemetery is a final resting place of over 30,000 Miltonians; amongst whom include many prominent US citizens like James Burke and Wendell Phillips.

This cemetery, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, dates back to 1672. A five-member board of trustees oversees the cemetery and annually selects a superintendent to run the day-to-day operation. Over 30,000 Milton residents or their decedents are buried on the grounds. The cemetery is still functional, and graves are only available to Milton residents.
Directions to the Milton Cemetery are on the website www.miltoncemetery.com. Meet at front gate on Centre Street. The cemetery is a 102 acre garden cemetery established in 1672.
