Earlier this year my husband and I purchased a 2007 GMC Acadia and had a wonderful experience from our Sales Person to the Finance Manager. The experience was so good that we came back to purchase another truck due to our other vehicle being damaged beyond repair. Our plan was to use the money from the payout of the insurance as a down payment for the vehicle, but needed to obtain a duplicate copy of the title before the money was in our hands. We were informed that obtaining a title could be handled through Haggerty so we signed all of the paper work to make the deal happen. Now, we are constantly being harassed with multiple phone calls to our home and cell phone regarding a lien release from Ford, which was not clearly stated as a necessary step.
Once we were informed we made the request and was informed that it takes 24 to 48 hours for the information to be faxed and 3-5 business days for something in the mail. In the mean time my husband was asked to come back to the dealership to “fill out some paper work” only to find out that he was told to leave the truck at the dealership or produce a down payment check.
Now, my husband is at the dealership with my INFANT son who is 9 months old with no means of transportation home regarding something that is out of our hands. We have already signed a promissory note to pay the down payment so I am confused on the panic state that the business manager is in.
This is ridiculous customer service and not only will I tell everyone that I know who is in the market for a vehicle (which I personally know two people) never to purchase a vehicle from this establishment but share how it was done to my husband with an INFANT child at the dealership.
On top of this whole conversation I call Mr Haggerty himself and he was equally rude as his whole customer service process. He spoke over me and explained all that he has to go through and when I mentioned that his process needs to be seemless to the customer he had no response and was un-apologetic.
I can clearly see that this type of customer services is accepteble because it comes from the TOP.
This place has a lot of cars that are super nice and clean on top of certified which is what I got a certified vehicle with a great warranty and had many choice since they have a monster selection of cars to pick from and they offered to show we the other dealership if I couldn't find a car I like I...
They'll get you into the dealership and all of the stereotypical crooked car salesman tactics come out. They will think you're a sucker! I really feel sorry for any older person or uneducated person going to this place. PLEASE STAY AWAY!!! Creepy that think they can outsmart you. LOL
Our family was very pleased with Haggerty GMC's service. We found the entire staff to be knowledge and helpful when purchasing a pre-owned car. From the moment we were greeted until the final handshake, we were treated in a respectful and professional way. I am sure we will be conducting business with them in the future.
Most of us know that buying a car is a long drawn out process that most of us dread. But, this dealership especially Dan Fontana listened to my needs and with no pressure got me the car I wanted at the price that was very fair. This is the first time I visited here and when its time to buy another car, this will be my first stop. Thank you Dan and Haggerty Buick.
