Devotees love to "dance their face off" to "amazing guest DJs" and "electronic artists" appearing at this double-decker West Town nightclub, where you might "leave with an empty wallet" (if you opt for bottle service and such), but at least the "atmosphere rocks"; still, claustrophobes contend it's "way too small for the talent it books", leading to "packed-in" parties; P.S. open...
Although dance music (electronica, if we must) seems almost quaint now that we're a decade into the post-punk revival, Chicago's proliferation of dull house music nights makes the Mid feel rather imperative. The 800-person space deftly navigates the abyss between mega-club and posh cocktail haven, with wood floors, exposed brick, and massive disco balls.
Don't expect anything from the Mid besides being able to see awesome DJs for really cheap. Some shows you just need to RSVP online and arrive before 11:30pm for free entry and others require...

I feel like I have a love and hate relationship with The Mid. It's is no doubt a fun place to go and have a crazy night with friends if you are a house music lover and it seems to be spot for all the big name DJs. You go to have a almost concert like experience.
