I'm giving it 4 stars because it has great value. It's tough to find a pool in NYC and this one is affordable, decent size (25 yards), and reasonably clean (not spotless but not gross). Reasonably helpful and usually helpful staff. Adequate locker rooms - FYI showers are not private for those who care. Bring your own …

Ok- its a gross locker room! It's yukky!! It's NYC! But...the pool is really awesome and clean! The swimmers are courteous and fast! It's a challenging place to get in shape! But the hours suck..

well its an overall decent place, it ain't no gold's gym or NYSC but if you're a casual gym rat it's the place for you. its cheap too, $75 for 6 months, so if you're not a fan of shady monthly contracts and just want a fixed plan this is again, the place for you. they have a friendly staff as well, hehe so jovial. the …

They've done repairs! There's hot water in the shower and the pool is warm!The problem with the life guards opening all doors persists, so please, don't hesitate to bring up the issue with them... maybe they'll give in...

Located in Williamsburg/Brooklyn, the Metropolitan Recreation Center comprises of a dance room, a fitness room and a cardio room. The center is best known for its popular swimming pool which allows you an inexpensive membership. The staff is friendly and the facilities are clean and operational. Be sure to bring your own towel and a lock for safe stowing away of your personal items.
