Help us make it rightOur congregation purchased this property from the Beth Shalom around May of 2010. The jewish synagogue, which had been around for 95 years, was abandoned for years since they started building their new church along Rte. 70 in Lakewood. It is true that the property was in deplorable and dangerous conditions when it was purchased. We had one building demolished because it was beyond repair and unsafe. We have done a lot of cleaning up, clearing out and rebuilding since then to make it clean and safe for our own families-a place truly worthy of worshipping God's glory. I think it is only fair for someone to judge after they come in and experience for themselves prayer and worship with us, which is why we welcome all. Good neighbors extend warm welcome to new neighbors. They also do not dump their discarded lawn materials and rubbish onto their neighbor's property, then turn around and expect them to clean it up."But as for that day and hour no one knows it-not even the angels in heaven-except the Father alone"-Matthew 24:36. I think Mr. Debartolo misunderstood our representative on May 21st last year when he was joking about Harold Camping's doomsday prediction for that October. This joke was uttered out of sheer frustration because of our neighbor's unrealistic demands to "quickly" clean up the many years of neglect on the property.
These people are not good neighbors. They keep their property in dangerous and deplorable condition. A real fire and health problem. All sorts of rodents living on their land. And ticks everywhere, when asked to clean it up they tell neighbors ,"we don't have to do anything for you ". Nice right? Their reason, said by their representative is on may 21st. Jesus came to earth and is among us and by October it will all be over.rapture has started. Hence their reason for not doing anything. "Why bother, just come pray with us". So if they think they are following Christ teachings, they are so off the mark it is funny.
