We hired Melvin Belk Roofing last fall, their salesman Jeremiah was a very polite & knowledgeable man. We had a lot of questions as we dont buy a new roof every year & we have heard a lot of horror stories. Our roof was already developing leaks, he told us we could repair the leaks & we could likely get another 3-5 years out of our existing roof. We decided to just go ahead & get the whole thing done now as we plan on living here a long time to come & we didnt want to worry about it. The price they gave us was very compeitive with the other 3 bids we recieved.
When the crew came out to do the roof they made sure they protected our landscaping, as we do have a lot of delicate plants around the house & even though most had already bloomed I didnt want them destroyed. They tore off the existing roof & replaced a few boards that were bad & didnt harm any of our plants. They were done with the roof in one day & other then a beautiful new roof you couldnt even tell they had been there.
I would recommend them to anyone as they do what they say they will do & at a fair price.
I recently purchased a house which had a roof leak. Before taking possession of the house, we asked the sellers to repair the roof flashings and dormers. The sellers hired Melvin Belk Roofing and Jeremiah Victorson (Sales Lic #2105201490) came out. Jeremiah was unable to find the obvious leak and gave us a signed letter stating this. Because of this letter, the sellers were off the hook for repairs. When we took possession of the house four days later, I noticed a very obvious wet spot on the living room ceiling and a small puddle on the floor. Because of Melvin Belk roofing's incorrect assessment, we are now on the hook for repairs. If Melvin Belk roofing cannot even detect leaks, how can we expect them to fix the leaks. We will be taking our business elsewhere and warnings will be sent to friends, family, and coworkers who mention the need for roof work.
