The McKinney Trolley was cook. We took it a few times to Uptown. It run every 20 to 25 minutes and stops at 10. If you are trying to get back downtown you have to be on there by 9:30.

Free Things to Do: Meet Rosie, Matilda, Petunia, Miss Daisy and the friendly Green Dragon, all beautifully restored vintage trolley cars rambling along the city's original trolley tracks through vibrant historic Uptown. MATA is a heritage or historical trolley system, recreating how a real trolley system of the early to mid-twentieth century looked and operated.

The McKinney Avenue Trolley runs between Dallas' Art District and the McKinney Avenue neighborhood. The trendy areas offer antique shops, restaurants, clubs and a number of historic buildings. The trolleys are historic streetcars that have been restored to their original splendor. Trolley service runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

In this highway-laden city, riding public transportation is a rare thrill. It’s even more so if you get aboard one of the McKinney Avenue Transit Authority’s vintage electric trolleys. Car 122, “Rosie,” is more than a century old—the oldest trolley regularly running in North America. Trips are free and the journey between the West Village and the Arts District takes about 20 minutes.
