Never been to McAlister's but the wife raved about it. We ordered the new yorker and the french dip with chicken tortilla soup and mac with cheese. Chicken tortilla soup was delicious the mac and cheese was average. The french dip was so delicous must get, im not big on rye bread or mustard but my wife love it.

The sandwiches are good, the spuds are amazing and HUGE. I am a big eater and I couldn't finish a potato here. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. Service was good.
