Masa 14 Restaurant Review

The brainchild of DC’s Kazuhiro Okochi (of Kaz Sushi Bistro) and Richard Sandoval (of Zengo and others), this hot destination fuses the best of Asian and Latino flavors for some truly kicky dishes. Resembling the interior of a cheery pub, Masa 14 has the same ambience as well, with crowds drinking, eating, and chatting happily, a crowd that’s as hip as the food and the ultra-cool bar lounge....

"Creative Latin-Asian fusion" and tapas collide in the little dishes "bursting with flavor" served by a "knowledgeable" crew at this "trendy" late-night Logan Circle "hot spot" from Richard Sandoval (Zengo) and Kaz Okochi (Kaz Sushi); the airy industrial space features a "long concrete bar stocked with plenty of eye candy" in the form of a "spirited, young" crowd; P.S. prices are moderate, but...

This modern lounge blends Asian and Latin American flavors, with a menu of memorable small plates. The masa-panko-crusted calamari comes with a kick of Madras curry, and savory pork belly tacos are served on an Asian bun. The cocktail list, headlined by more than 100 varieties of tequila, is the star of the city's longest bar (65 feet). The only thing missing from this collaboration between...

This place is happening whenever you stop by. At weekend brunch, last night's rabble-rousers sit dazedly, making silly conversation and gradually coming awake over sips of lychee bellinis and munches of smoked salmon omelets. These same sorts might have turned up here the night before to dance to the DJ music that plays until 3am Fridays and Saturdays, and to drink one of the 100 varieties of...

Land of permanent sun meets land of the rising sun. Precious, three-component tapas keep dressed-up Logan swingers intrigued, occupied. Contrary to everywhere, seafood is a forte-temaki hand rolls precise as time. Raised red lanterns all in a row, naked black loft ceiling, creamy wood-slatted walls. Like the couple French-kissing at the extra long bar, the rows of backlit bottles ain't for...

What an amazing experience. We choose the tasting menu options with drinks for $64 . Which in my opinion is the best idea , BC it gives you an opportunity to try the entire menu in small portions . I will be back soon .

Kyliah is AMAZING, best server I’ve ever had! She enabled our mimosa obsession in the best possible way and kept the drinks flowing. She read our minds and put in for the best of the brunch dishes and EVERYTHING was delicious! Believe in yourselves and go for the bottomless prix fix. Try. Everything. Amazing.

We didn’t do bottomless food and drinks but would def do it next time I go. It’s only $39 for bottomless drinks and any food off the menu. They do tapas style breakfast which is kind of neat because then you can do a little...
