Editorial reviews from the web (3)

"Grown-up", "stylized brasserie fare" is only part of the "brilliant" appeal of this spacious American-European in Kenmore Square's Hotel Commonwealth, where the "accommodating, efficient" staff includes "superior" mixologists whose cocktails are "pure art"; "throwback" opulence belies relatively "reasonable" pricing and a "casual", "happening" (i.e. "noisy") scene that welcomes "BU students",...

This museum's mission, "to stimulate interest in and understanding of the visual arts, sciences, mathematics, and technology through experiences that educate and inspire," pretty much says it all. Associated with the Smithsonian Institution, the Mary Brogan Museum has changing exhibitions, educational programs, and lectures, as well as permanent science museum-type exhibits.

A cavernous brasserie with a mile-long marble bar, Eastern Standard is an all-things-to-all-people destination. It serves food from early morning through late night, offers outdoor seating, and has a hopping bar scene every night during the week and almost all day on weekends. The specialty cocktails are numerous and diverse, and the bartenders know their way around the wine list. On Red Sox...

Stayed nearby and ate here solo during a business trip. The staff made me perfectly comfortable. Some awesome craft cocktails, plus a great bistro type menu made for a memorable meal. While seafood is a clear advantage for them, I had a half portion of rigatoni, which was amazing. Great service all around, well paced and knowledgable.

The bartender tonight really knew his art and the food was perfect
Service impeccable and background music somehow fitted the time of night and overall atmosphere
If back on a business trip or a romantic evening in this town and neighborhood- this would be the place to stay and eat

We enjoyed brunch here recently. The smoked salmon on a bagel was more than I could eat! The eggs were very tasty. And the breads - yummy, especially the chocolate, peanut butter croissant!

Had a delicious meal, good service and a nice bar. The menu has many options, we had trout, steak and pasta among the three of us and all were delicious. Very casual and comfortable. Try the fried brussel sprouts, they are yummy.
