This was our 2nd trip to the museum. We have been to Chanute now 2 years in a row. They museum offered new items this year. The staff is very friendly and helpful with questions.
We visited with a small group one year. Gift shop has typically overpriced and tacky items, books you can get cheaper online. Africn artifacts are housed here as well as pieces from the likes of the South Pacific and Malysia areas. This was a trip over a year in the making. It was a birthday gift for my wife's birthday from over a year ago. We were glad we went, even after such a time. The artifacts and photos are spectacular. The video explaining the Johnson's life and exploits was awe inspiring. Seeing their original photos and films of large numbers...
It was interesting to go here, unfortunately I was not feeling very well this day so I don't have that much I can tell you, hoping I get to go back the next time I come for a visit.
