Excellent air museum

I have visited several air museums, including the Smithsonian in Washington, DC. March Field is the best that I have ever seen. It has an outstanding collection of airplanes, especially covering the Cold War and Vietnam War. As a bonus, the airport serves as a base for refueling airplanes and with some luck it is possible to see them training.

Visited this place in a hot summer day, if you must come on summer but is open year around so other seasons are good too. This is an awesome place if you like plains and history. Great picture opportunities. Our kids love it!! Price is reasonable, plenty of places to grab lunch or dinner after you visit. The volunteers are...

Great for the Military Aviation History Buff

Lots of aircraft to see, both inside and outside. When touring the aircraft outside, you are carted in a little golf cart and told about certain aircraft. Great for those whom would prefer not to walk too much. $10.00 per person to enter the museum.

Went here on a field trip

Actually pretty awesome. School kids loved it. Elderly and knowledgeable people give tours. Can't go inside the planes anymore. The field is hot but inside is temperature controlled.

I was very cool and informative. I served in the Marine Corps, so it was nice to see the history of aviation! Every body was nice and helpful! It was nice to be able to get up close and really check things out.

The excitement of seeing a U.S. Air Force aircraft is hardly deniable. When seeing over 60 of them at a time and even stepping inside some of them, it becomes a day to brag about. This day takes place at March Field Air Museum. To name a couple of the well-known models on display, the museum features the B-25 used to bomb Tokyo after Pearl Harbor and the B-29 Superfortress used to drop the atom...
