My gram with dementia and who cannot walk on her own without support was in there. Apparently she fell and hit her head (hard enough to have a baseball size lump) and miraculously was able to get up on her bed herself. My father is currently in Manorcare and it was THE BIGGEST MISTAKE TO SEND HIM THERE!!!! The nurses have NO EMPATHY and act like they have no desire to do anything but sit at their station. Walk by the nurse's station and you will see at least 5 call buttons ringing while all the nurses sit there at the desk on their phones texting.
