I had a date with one of my friends last Tuesday night at Mama Rosina's, we heard good comments about their food, so we decided to try it. Their service was very poor, we waited for our fountain driks aprox 15minutes, my friend ordered pasta with marinara sauce, the sauce was water with a little bit of chopped tomatoes. Worst...

We stopped here and were pleasantly surprised. Its a small restaurant with a lot of room. The atmosphere was pleasant even romantic. We were seated right away and all the wait staff was beyond friendly. Drinks were good. Food was fantastic. The portions were large and as much as we tried we couldn't eat it all. I've been going here for years and have always enjoyed my meal. I've never had a bad item off the menu and the prices are very reasonable. The service is friendly and generally attentive.

This wasn't our first visit to Mama Rosina's and certainly won't be our last! Very nice atmosphere since they took over the Bound Brook train station's building several years ago. We decided to give this place a try for Italian. The bread was pretty good. The calamari we ordered did not have as good a breading as many of the other places we've had calamari, although the squid itself was of pretty good quality.
