Went there for a nice dinner out with coworkers. Server was not very friendly at first. Strange lay out of the place. The beef Wellington was good. My friends ribeyes on the other hand were not. The steaks were full of gristle and hard to cut through. Another friend had to send his burger back. Ordered medium and it came out very well and dry. Waitress insisted that they remake it for him. Excellent as always. We frequent this restaurant because it provides great service, quality food and nice atmosphere. They have very good martini's and provide a good wine selection. We also like to help support the downtown Springfield businesses.
My friend and I often have dinner here before a show at the Hoogland. The food and service are always outstanding. We did have a bit of s Ickes shock. My frien ordered a special, which turned out to be nearly twice the cost is f y entrée. Overall, though, we love this place, and will return. Next time we'll ask the price of the 'special'.
