Help us make it rightIt’s predominately local families that line up for this Japanese buffet hybrid. The old location was so over packed most nights that they quickly moved to new larger digs to be sure everyone was comfortable. This hybrid buffet restaurant offers a salad bar, fried food table and dessert bar. Anything else is readily made to order and served at the table. Perfect spot for large family gatherings.
Pearl Ridge one is better
I usually love Makino Chaya even though the price isn't cheap because the quality use to be good with the steak and the scallops. I took my fiancee there for his graduation and the food is not good anymore. They no longer have the scallops and instead they have dry lobster that they overcook and then put it on the grill just to make it extra dry. The steak isn't as good as it was a couple of years ago either. We went right when they opened because they normally are busy and they were dead the whole time and it was a Friday.
