The food w.as heavy and boring. Lobster roll was barely seasoned and atop a heavy bun. The peach tart was encased in a leaden strip of dough. The mussels were good, however, with a nice creamy sauce.

Maybe if you sit outside on the patio, the short and not that appealing menu is less problematic. While the oysters were great, Montauks, the rest of our meals (steak, burgers, po'boy) were ok but not worth the price. Long drive, but definitely worth it

If you're coming from NYC, don't underestimate the drive, but plan for it and enjoy this wonderful restaurant.We wanted to celebrate a birthday and decided to take our friend to Main. Very limited menu.. waitress was honest about food prep... was there 2 years back.. either owner changed or menu changed..
I would try lunch not dinner.. Next time we are trying Noah's in Greenport

Had a great business lunch here today! The wait staff was attentive, but not overbearing and the food was just perfect! Great place - highly recommended!
