A medical assistant or a nurse, I wasn't sure, displayed a lack of cultural competence and understanding with respect to communicating with an elderly ESL patient. She was impatient, talked fast, and used med. terminology when questioning my mother, which confused her. During her interview concerning my mother's health, another staff member was in the examination room - no introduction was made...

I really appreciate Dr. Madamba. He cares so much about his patients. He is not on a time clock like other integrative medicine doctors. He is knowledgeable, thorough, and is the best integrative medicine doctor I have seen in Honolulu. He is the only one who has been able to solve my fingernail breaking problem out of any doctor I have been to. I like the fact that he is constantly learning....
