"Bring your own tequila", order housemade mixers and watch "the fun begin" at this "scene-driven", cash-only Mex BYO in Wash West proffering "well-prepared" carne asada and other delights, served by an "efficient", though some say "unfriendly", staff; it gets "packed" and "loud" in the "tight space", but for fans, that "just makes the party better"; P.S. there's an $18-per-person food minimum...

Lolita Restaurant Review

This unassuming restaurant revises all your ideas about Mexican cuisine. Partners Valerie Safran and chef Marcie Turney, who have singlehandedly transformed the 13th Street landscape, serve Mexican fare with the touch of a contemporary American kitchen, using fresh, local ingredients. Bring your own tequila and they will provide freshly-squeezed juices (even watermelon). Dig into the guacamole,...

This Mexican restaurant puts a new spin on B.Y.O.B. with B.Y.O.T. (i.e., Bring Your Own Tequila).

In Short
True to its name, this eatery has a sultry decor and a daring menu. Decorated in black then accented with red tiling, bare brick and hip light fixtures, the restaurant lets it...

Went on a date for Valentine's Day and had a wonderful time. The food is amazing, with plenty of vegetarian and meat options. Service was prompt and friendly, even with the restaurant at full capacity. Dessert was a little rich - neither of us could manage a whole plate, but that's mostly because we polished off every other course!

Matt was our server and he was completely awesome. This totally set it up for our overall experience. The food was beyond our expectations. Unfortunately, I was on antibiotics and wasn't able to try any of the margaritas but I am looking forward to it on our next visit!

Very nice decor and atmosphere. Food was excellent. Margheritas are not as good as El Vez but still very tasty. I would definitly recommend as well as come here again.

We ordered salsa and mixed chips, nice plantain chips included. Smoky red salsa was tasty as well as a salsa verde. We really enjoyed raw tuna tostadas as an appetizer. We both shared the pork tacos, three per order, server said you could add another so we got two each, which was nice. They were delicious! Wish I upgrade my margarita to a classic, the house margarita wasn't very good. Food is...

Delicious, fresh food made to order! Loved this and will definitely be back! WE had the guac tradicional, fish tacos and shrimp tapatizas (or something like that) so so yum!
