The rolls with honey butter are "heaven" in the house that Brigham Young built near Downtown's Temple Square, where American "down-home cooking" and "delicious" desserts come "cafeteria-style" with a "side of history"; it's a major draw for family gatherings and "tourists who want to see what Mormon food is all about."

A Utah favorite for its pioneer ambiance and food like grandma makes.

The Lion house was built in 1856 to serve as a house for the Mormon leader Brigham Young and some of his wives. It is named after the Lion on the front porch. Like all other buildings on Temple Square, it is pristinely preserved, almost...as if it was built last year. There is now a rather pleasant restaurant inside serving local fare to the faithful and the visitors alike.

We had the stuffed chicken breasts and the...
