Help us make it rightThis is about as informal as it gets these days in River North. The interior of this Northern Italian restaurant is designed to look like a rustic kitchen. The intent is to create a homey environment, and it works surprisingly well. Since 1984, the staff of Lino's has been serving such items as Veal Shank for two (carved at your table), chicken bakes served in a clay pot and yummy homemade...
When a place advertises itself as "first in its class" and "for Chicago's elite," one either has to roll their eyes and continue their online search, or they have to dress to impress and hit the ATM (because you're more than likely to have to pay a $20 door fee). There's really not a lot of room to dance to the DJ's choices, so your best bet is to get bottle service and hopefully score one of...
The guys that work @ the Door are very Racist and very disrespectful. Not worth going there at all
We paid $80 in cover charges and the door man didn't make us aware that they were no longer serving drinks. We then dropped another $70 on warm Jagerbombs (they said we could only buy shots). When I went outside to express my frustration with paying $80 to get in a bar that was no longer serving drinks, the bouncer asked me "Are you the one from Georgia?" I said yes, to which he responded "You...
I have been to much better lounge bars than Y-Bar. It did not live upto my expectations as an upscale bar. The place is a bit small and the service mediocre. Yes, it is certainly priced for an upscale bar. One of the hosts (manager??) was a bit annoying actually. I think this place is over rated and over priced. Not worth it.
I was humiliated at the end of my evening at Y-Bar when I was stopped from entering the rest room jus because they were closing down. My friend had just entered the restroom before me but I was stopped because it was time to shut down. It just didnt make sense why they would care if I used it for a minute while there were stiull others inside. It was not like I was asking for another drink or...
Great sound system and lights.A good mix of people, not just clones. They made a super Margarita- nice and strong and with a good Tequila. The drinks were not cheap, but I only have to by the first drink; guys always buy me the rest.
Visiting Lino`s, you`ll find an eatery that serves up Italian cooking. Expect to pay between $20 and $30 per person.
Details to Note: Smoking is permitted in smoking areas.
The first thing you'll notice about the Y Bar is its chic atmosphere, created by minimalist design and wide plush seating. The staff, if you're willing to spend, will accommodate your every wish. For private parties, furniture can be custom arranged, even with the option of a giant bed as the centerpiece.
