The lighthouse is worth stopping and looking at. You park in a large parking area and can walk down to the beach to enjoy the lake. It's also by a small park.

Great place for a walk on a sunny day... the spring flowers are blooming and the lake looks brisk.... cant wait for warmer days to enjoy this little gem of a park area mre fully.

Great lighthouse and a lot of beach

We were in Chicago for several days.
One day was spent at the lake and the park around Grosse point lighthouse.
We love lake Michigan and we love going to lighthouses.
So, this was the "almost" the best of both worlds.

The lighthouse is at the end of one of my many walking circuits in Evanston. I have lived here almost 20 years and have yet to go up. I don't even know if it is open to the public for that! Nice to look at...

Unfortunately, we went on a day the lighthouse wasn't open. That didn't deter us from wandering around the beautiful and historic grounds. It was kind of sad. The lighthouse sits on land that was given to a helpful native American and his heirs into perpetuity,...
