Situated at the legendary intersection of Hollywood and Vine, this pricey New American inhabits a sprawling space that’s been a string of clubs much loved by celebutantes, reincarnated now to mix the regalness of the town’s Golden Age with its new edginess – the decor ranges from an elegant dining room to a bar washed in purple light; as for the pricey rotating menu, it’s a bit more...

Eat.Drink.Americano Opens May 23, Jeff Goldblum Plays Jazz at Lexington Social House, MORE!

DOWNTOWN— Eat.Drink.Americano is a new gastropub opening May 23 in the Arts District. Proprietor Michael Burke, a partner in Café Metropol which occupied this same space for 14 years, has hired consulting chef Juan Pablo Torre (who is moving to the US from Europe) to arrange the restaurant's New American seasonal menu. The Facebook says, "artisanal cheeses, rustic breads, charcuterie...

Lex Social House Snags Marisa Tomei's Bro As Pizzaiolo

Adam Tomei is A) an actor, B) Marisa Tomei's brother, and C) apparently also a pizzaiolo. Starting May 29 and every Tuesday thereafter, (Adam) Tomei will hit the Lexington Social House kitchen and prepare four to five of his signature pizzas that he usually cooks for friends at home. Meanwhile, executive chef Jared Simons will offer up an Italian-American special (lasagna or chicken parmesan,...

Five Awesome LA Cocktails to Try this Month

Every other barman/woman in LA keeps pots of rosemary and mint growing next to their bowl of fresh citrus. Seasonal cocktails are not new to Los Angeles, but the skilled bartenders who produce them are multiplying. They are making their own syrups, bitters and vinegars. "Mixer" is finally a dirty word. Here to help the avid imbiber navigate this delightful new world, we present Strive for Five,...

Lexington Social House Restaurant Review

Just off the intersection of Hollywood and Vine is Lexington Social House, a hot-spot that has contributed to the area’s revitalization. The space, conceived by designer Thomas Schoos, features five-legged Queen Anne chairs, modern stick-figure art, and a garden patio with a fireplace. The seasonal American fare has included honey-chipotle pork belly, steak tartare, and flatbread with merguez...

A great happy hour experience

This is a great place to sit at the bar for happy hour. Our bartender was great and attentive. It seems that in the later hours they offer live music. I hope to get back there soon to see what it is all about.

Near the Pantages

My sister and I were not thrilled with the restaurants on Hollywood Blvd. near the Pantages, so we looked around the corner on Vine and saw the Lexington. The menu was rather limited, but we went in. Outside was a notice that a crew was shooting inside, We figured that's why we were the only diners. The film crew was...

Decent afterwork spot. The bar food was average.
We went on a Thursday and it wasn't crowded. According to the website, it was suppose to bee reggae night but it was FARRRR from that.
The bartender was awesome! He was British and was very nice. Will return just to hang out with him.
Cheerio!

Looked great but turned out to be comical & disappointing. There were about 5 booths and everybody looked like they were seated about the same time as us. There was a long period of inactivity until the appetizers started to come out. The problem was that the servers had idea what table ordered what. They would come out, guess the wrong table and head back to the kitchen. They would try again,...
