I do not recommend Leo's Landscaping because the man insisted on billing me for maintenance work far more than what is considered by honest landscape contractors reasonable and customary -- $50 per worker per hour.
I asked him at the beginning what he charged per hour. He said he charged by the job, not by the hour. (How can you arrive at a figure without considering length of time to be expended doing the job?) He said, "$800." I was desperate to have my property worked on, especially the removal of ivy taking over considerable space. Because I did not know how much labor it would take to remove the ivy, I okayed the price, considering it an estimate to be adjusted after the amount of work done was known. Turned out his two workers put in altogether 5 hours. ( 5 hours times $50 = $250. Add another $50 for dump fees.) When I attempted to contact him about what I thought I should pay (no more than $400), he was nowhere to be found. I received a bill for $800 with threatening printed language stating that $35 would be charged per month if the bill was not paid. My email and phone call messages stating my case were not answered. I warned him about the importance of customer satisfaction and good word-of-mouth commentary.
Bottom line -- He will gouge you. He cannot be trusted.
They've done our yard maintenance for years. Great work, great guys, great price.
