Lecosho Restaurant Review

Dark wood, warm lighting and friendly service contribute to a welcoming ambience in the large dining room with spacious windows overlooking Elliott Bay. While the focus of the food is on pork products (Lecosho means “pig” in the native American Chinook language), other proteins occasionally steal the show, such as a tuna melt made with house-poached albacore. We particularly like the Penn Cove...

Matt Janke, who for many years ran Matt's in the Market, has long been one of my favorite Seattle chefs, and here at his latest restaurant, on the pretty Harbor Steps, he continues to impress me with his simple yet creative cuisine. On a recent visit, I had the best grilled octopus I've had since the first time I had it decades ago in Greece. A house-made sausage, flavored with caraway rather...

Amazing staff. Fantastic food that coincides with the seasons. Great beer and wine selection. Mix some lovely crafty cocktails. Oh and a later night food menu till 1-2am. Yeah this place rocks.

Great romantic evening within walking distance from the waterfront. Food was exceptional as was our server, Jennifer. She made our night very special! We'll be back!

With a casually elegant atmosphere of high ceilings, wood-trimmed banquettes and an open kitchen,we feature European-influenced dishes using the best ingredients available from the Northwest: herbs, cheeses, wild mushrooms, seafood - and locally and sustainably farmed pork, lamb, chicken & beef. We make our own pasta and are known around the city for our house-made sausage and charcuterie. We...

Located mid-way on the Harbor Steps. Come by and visit!

Lecosho in downtown Seattle on the Harbor Steps offers fine dining.

The Harbor Steps aerie affords a view across the viaduct to the Sound. It's casual, yes, with the bar, lounge, dining room and kitchen flowing into one long, open space; but elegant, too, with espresso-dark mahogany trim, slate-blue draperies and upholstered banquettes. Romantically (challengingly) dim after dark, it's the...

Lecosho is a contemporary American restaurant that serves fantastic meals. Created by well-known restaurateur Matt Janke, you'll be sure to be impressed. The menu changes, but options in the past have included House-Brined Carlton Farms Pork Chops, Grilled Mackerel, House-Made Sausage and much more. The restaurant also has a nice selection of beer and wine.
