This was my first visit to the Hobb's St. Lawler's. Ribs and pork sandwich were tasty! Great customer service & atmosphere. The new "tasty Mac" tasted like from a box and powdery. The potato salad tasted like it was from the grocery store. The baked beans were great (sweet but not too sweet). The green beans are the flat ones and very enjoyable. Go here for the meat and don't worry about the sides!

We would love to have a lawlers in hartselle,Al. We drive an hour to the Athens hwy 72 location
because no other bbq res...taurant sells shredded ham. It is well worth the drive but because
of the distance we are unable to visit more than once or twice a week if we are lucky enough
to be in the area. Huntsville and Madison ,Al locations are just as far. Thank you for your

Lawler's Barbecue and Catfish is on Hobbs Street near Athens State College. From the outside Lawler's looks like a fast food drive in. However, despite the fast food appearance Lawler's Barbecue and Catfish actually sports a good sized dining room.

Unique LawLers location in that it features a buffet at lunch that includes lots of original made from scratch dishes that change from day to day. You can also get delicious fried catfish, hushpuppies, and french fries as well.
