Laurel Tavern Restaurant Review

Almost any night of the week, you'll find locals packing the tables and aisles of this neighborhood gem, both after work and long into the noisy evening. The décor includes flooring reclaimed from a 1920’s industrial warehouse, luminous Edison bulbs, a walnut butcher-block bar and exposed brick. Ordering off chalkboards at the bar, choose from a list of creative cocktails and a dynamic...

This open-air, rustic pub from the people behind Library Bar and Silver Lake's 4100 Bar offers 16 beers on tap and a smorgasboard of eats ranging from burgers to fondue.

In Short
A gastropub for the drinking foodie in us all, this classic tavern feels a helluva lot like ""Cheers"" might have if it'd been set two decades later. Exposed brick walls, wood...

The Local Bar

Laurel Tavern has consistently had lines to get in since it opened. It's good, the drinks are consistent, the bartenders are good, the drink and beer options are plentiful.
I'm not sure exactly what makes the place so enjoyable but it is. It definitely feels like a place that brings in all the people who live nearby, rather than something...

Good for a chill lunch in Studio City

Chilled out place where you seat where-ever you want and order at the bar. I went on a Saturday afternoon & it was fairly busy but not crammed. Saw a few families eating. The music was great I must say - classic & alternative rock. Decent range of wines & beers. I ordered the pretzel with yellow mustard which was...

What a shame. It use to be so good. Many items have changed and those that haven't have been reduced to a "kids menu" size. Our group use to come here more often and last time we were there apparently others have noticed as well.

Love this place. The Bistro Burger is probably my favorite restaurant burger anywhere. Also a fan of the LT Fries and Pork Belly Skewers. With there wide selection of whiskeys, I'm covered with all things I need at a Gastro Pub.

Laurel Tavern is an exclusive beer bar in the Valley that serves 16-beers on tap. It also has a full bar and a large wine selection for non-beer drinkers. The food menu includes items that traditionally accompany beer such as cheeseburgers and chorizo sliders. Other unusual selections abound such as crisp pork belly skewers served with lime wedges and cilantro. The decor is cosmopolitan and...

Look Good: Hungry? Don't sit around waiting for a waitress--everybody else is ordering at the bar. That's actually the preferred (and only) way to order here.

Fun Fact: The pork and hickory burger recipes were made famous at the group's New York City pub, Spitzer's Corner.

Know Before You Go: Snag some serious grub early on--the kitchen closes at 11pm, which doesn't leave much room for late-night munchies.
